REPORT ON INTEGRITY CLUB

Integrity club observed another activity showing love and compassion for the poor and the needy. Students belonging to this group, the teachers’ incharge and the Principal of K.V Mullanpur Garibdas visited Mother Teressa Home Sec 23 Chandigarh on 27th Nov, 2009. All the members had a talk with the sister and she told them about the system & the working of the Home. After that all the members visited Institute of Blind Sec 26 Chandigarh. They went around all the rooms and learnt about the Braille alphabet for the blind. The blind students were working in the computers specially designed for the blind. They were also being given Vocational guidance. All the students there were distributed fruits which were purchased from the profit incurred by Vidyalaya from Bal Mela held on 14.11.09

A meeting of the members was held on 29.07.09 and planning was made regarding the activities to be under taken .following values were kept in view while deciding activities:

N.A.E.P (National, Adolescence – Education)

• Rally was organized on 31st Oct 09 regarding AIDS, its caused, preventions and measures.

• Students had prepared posters/ Slogans on the said Topic and they had marched through campus area. Raising the slogans and educating people regarding AIDS.

Nature Club

Nature club celebrated Tree plantation day on 22-8-09 in the School premises. Under the guidance of Mrs. Daljit Kaur, Principal of the School, the teachers and the students discussed the importance of trees in our nature and human life.

The students of secondary section brought saplings (decorative / Medicinal) Planted in post for display. In the first round of the competition Students explained the uses of their plants. In the second round, same plants were observed after one week. Marks were awarded on the basis of healthy condition of plant in this round. Judges for both the rounds were different. Totaling the marks, the names of winners were announced.

 The Children pledged to take care of the plants in the school as well as in their surroundings.
